HOW TO GO FOR IT

Maybe you think you’re not ready to hire a designer. You know you want to do something but you’re not sure enough to start spending money. You really want to be able to get some different bids to decide if you even want to proceed. You just want to put one toe in.

There are lots of ways we can work together. In the case of this project, showing the homeowners a vision of what could be done in their space was all they needed to take the ball and run with it. My designs helped them decide what they wanted to do and gave them something solid to share with contractors to make sure they were getting “apples to apples” estimates. And they told me our time together helped them answer all the detail questions that inevitably come up along the way.

They knew they wanted to open up the space to bring in light. They knew they wanted a clean but hard-working kitchen. They wanted to respect the style of the house but many original elements had been compromised, and they wanted an update.

In the following you’ll see some befores, some of my renderings, and the final remodel. It really did turn out as beautiful as the two of them.
